Family and Early Life
Hadwin was born on 2nd November 1987 in Mosse Jaw, Saskatchewan in Canada. He currently lives in Abbotsford in British Columbia. His parents are Gerry and Brenda Hadwin. His father is a golfer who joined the Canadian PGA Tour in 1979.
After graduating from high school, he proceeded to the University of Louisville on a golf scholarship. He is married to Jessica Dawn Kippenberger since 2017.
Career
Hadwin had a successful amateur career before he turned professional in 2009. He took part in the Golden Ear’s Open, the Johnstone Meier Insurance Open, and the RBC Invitational Pro-am in 2009. He won the Gateway Tour event in the same year. Adam joined the Canadian Tour in 2010 and earned an exemption in the 2010 California Winter Qualifying School. He won the Rivermead Cup in the 2010 Canadian Open this being his first PGA Tour event. He finished with a tie at 37th place.
His second Canadian tour event took place in 2011 at the Pacific Colombia Tour Championship in Bogota, Columbia. He tied at 35th place in the U.S Open held at the Congressional Country Club near Washington D.C. This was his first major championship and he won $41 154. Based on his qualifying school finish, he earned conditional Nationwide Tour Status for 2012 he later qualified for a full season on the Web.com Tour based on his 2012 season. He won for the first time on the Web.com Tour in March 2014. He won his second Web.com Tour in September 2014.
In 2017, Hadwin finished as the runner-up and was the last player to a round of 13-under at the CareerBuilder Challenge at La Quinta Country Club in California. He won his first event on the PGA Tour in March 2017 at the Valspar Championship. He earned $1,134, 000 as the winning prize.
Adam played on the International team at the 2019 President’s Cup at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia. The U.S Team won against the International team and he halved his Sunday singles match against Bryson DeChambeau.
