Charlamagne The God (real name Lenard McKelvey) invited her to the broadcast on December 6, 2016, after he received backlash for tweeting that he wished women of color had a platform “like Tomi Lahren did.” Rye and McKelvey previously co-hosted a podcast that received mixed reviews and aired for the last time in June 2019. She made her first appearance on The Breakfast Club in January 2017 and continued to appear on the show on a regular basis, frequently discussing the Trump administration and other pop culture topics. She was last heard on the radio show in March of 2020.
