Pena was born in New York on August 11, 1998, to a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother. He spent some time in Puerto Rico with his mother before relocating to Killeen, Texas. He attended Shoemaker High School and graduated in 2016 with a 3.80 GPA.

Several tweets from Kelvin Pena (Brother Nature) in 2018 emerged, in which he used anti-black and anti-Semitic words. He was only 12 years old at the time they were written, according to the date. Later, he apologized, saying, “I apologize for 12-year-old Kelvin and accept full responsibility for my words.” Everybody evolves, everyone knows, and everyone makes mistakes.”
In December 7, 2019 Kelvin Pena (Brother Nature) was repeated assaulted in Miami. He’d stopped at the La Sandwhicherie while in Miami for a beach cleanup. He was seen on video asking for food at the restaurant. The attacker, who goes by the username @Phatdabb-gmn, implied that Pena wanted to “learn how to chat” to people. The video has since been removed, but the user can be seen hitting and thrashing the YouTuber before kicking him in the back.
