Darren was born on April 27, 1991, in Los Angeles, California but later relocated to Orlando, Florida at the age of 12. Barnet went to Dr. Phillips High School where he was the lacrosse team captain. From an early age of 5, Barnet wanted to be an actor. He took part in several plays and short films while attending Berry College. He even got a full academic scholarship. Barnet graduated from the College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Career
After completing his college, Barnet returned back to Los Angeles and tried to move forward on the acting scene. His first professional acting gig came in a short film called “Storage” in 2011. After that, he went on to play in several-television series like Us, S.W.A.T, and Criminal Minds. He also appeared in an episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Darren is now known to many for playing the role of Paxton Hall-Yoshida in the Netflix series ‘Never Have I Ever’.
