Dave Asprey Early Life & Education before BulletProof
Asprey majored in computer science at UCSB and then received an undergraduate degree in computer information systems at California State University. He went on to receive an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
Asprey worked in the IT business after graduating from college, with firms such as Bradshaw and 3Com. He also directed the Internet and web engineering department at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where Asprey developed one of the earliest operational examples of cloud computing. Later, he became director of strategic planning at Exodus Communications, where he also co-founded the company’s professional services business.

Following his time at Citrix, Asprey worked as the vice president of marketing for Zeus Technology and, later, as the vice president of technology and corporate development for Blue Coat Systems. He then worked as an entrepreneur in residence at Trinity Ventures before co-founding Basis.
