George Eads Early Life
Eads was born in Belton, Texas, and grew up there. Arthur “Cappy” Eads, a former district attorney who died on November 1, 2011, is his father. Vivian Baker is his mother’s name. George earned a marketing degree from Texas Tech University in 1989 after graduating from Belton High School in 1985. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity in college. Prior to starting his acting career, Eads worked as a copy machine salesperson for Cintas, as well as selling first aid and safety goods.

Eads played Jack Dalton in CBS’s revival series MacGyver from 2016 until 2019. While the third season of MacGyver began shooting, Eads requested to be freed from his contract in order to spend more time with his young daughter, who lives in Los Angeles, while MacGyver is shot in Atlanta. Eads was eventually written out of the program, although producers left the door open for him to return as a guest star in the future. His last episode on MacGyver was “Father + Bride + Betrayal” on February 1, 2019.
