Russell Nelson Early Life After WWI
He was born to a Mormon family in Salt Lake City in the decade following World War I. As a result, his upbringing has been intensely religious and conservative. He defended his traditional environment and upheld his family’s religious and faith traditions. He attended Church Sunday School and was baptized as a member of the LDS church at the age of 16.
