Russell Nelson Early Life After WWI
He was born to a Mormon family in Salt Lake City in the decade following World War I. As a result, his upbringing has been intensely religious and conservative. He defended his traditional environment and upheld his family’s religious and faith traditions. He attended Church Sunday School and was baptized as a member of the LDS church at the age of 16. He attended LDS Business College in addition to high school and earned his B.A. and M.D. from the University of Utah.
