Tyler Childers Early Life & Education
Tyler Childers grew up in Lawrence County, Kentucky. His father was a coal miner, and his mother is a nurse. He learnt to sing in church, where he was a member of the choir. He began playing guitar and writing songs when he was just 13 years old. He graduated from Paintsville High School in neighboring Paintsville, Kentucky, in 2009. Country artists Chris Stapleton (Staffordsville) and Loretta Lynn (Van Lear) are also from the Paintsville region. He attended Western Kentucky University for a semester and Bluegrass Community and Technical College for a couple semesters. He dropped out of college and worked odd jobs while pursuing a music career.

Miles Miller, his buddy and Sturgill Simpson’s drummer, introduced the two singers/songwriters. And it was via this that he met Simpson, who produced many of his albums with the help of engineer David Ferguson. Simpson also sang backup vocals and played guitar on the record, which also included Miles Miller on percussion, Stuart Duncan on fiddle, and Russ Paul on various instruments.
This album debuted at number one on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums list, number seventeen on the Country albums chart, and number four on the Americana/Folk albums chart. Country Squire, his second album, was published on his own Hickman Holler Records. On August 2, 2019, he released this album. However, its release date has already been set for May 2019. In August 2019, he released the album under an exclusive license to RCA Records. Furthermore, Simpson and Ferguson co-produced this record.
On May 16, 2019, they released the album’s lead track, House Fire. The second song, All Your’n, was also nominated for Best Country Solo Performance at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
